Two people

There are some people who come in your life to teach you some wonderful values. In my second year I have been fortunate enough to meet quite a few of them.First of all I will mention an old man named Sunil Mitra whom I met in my cousin's house. The meeting was strange for he did not even bother to approach me or for that matter anyone else.He had come to attend the death ceremony of his dear friend whose name was also Sun il whom this old man addressed as "meeta".This 'Meeta' was my cousin's uncle and that day after dinner I saw the old man lying on his bed and thinking about something really deep or so I felt. While everyone was busy making arrangements for the dinner of the other people present I decided to talk to this old man.At first he asked me in which school do I read? And then when I told him that I read in a college,I could see the surprise in his eyes.Well then he started talking about experiences as a young man,of how he travelled India by foot two times and also about his experiences in the other countries of the world and his becoming a'Sanyas'.Indeed he shared with me so many things which perhaps I won't be able to fit in this blog cause of many reasons but then I will mention something which struck my mind and I was forced to ponder on it for a very long time and that is when he said that a man does'nt need to leave his family and become a sanyas. He can become one even with his family though he himself was one who did not see his family after he was twenty two years of age. Then of course I am looking forward to his publishing of his own book which according to this eighty five year old man will come out only after his death. He also did mention that there are high chances for the book to get banned.Anyway this is to say that I will remember you for the rest of my life for so many things knowing that we won't meet again during this lifetime. Then I will mention the second name because a)you are the first ever roommate of mine with whom I really had a great bonding b)because you made me think of something you had said the last day we met.And again I know that there are slim chances of us seeing each other again but then you never know when I come to Siliguri and meet you or happen to meet you Tithli Chakroborty.OK let's just say that if destiny has it for us we can meet at any place at any time on this earth and this lifetime.OK so that day you did say that a person who gives importance to money does not and cannot give importance to human beings and I find this so true because I have seen people in and around me and I have seen myself as well.Money makes the worked go around and humanity finds a little corner in this ultra modern world and I am happy that you are one of those people who think about others first.I mean that I confess even I am not like this but maybe someday I will but what you said me will remain with me for good and if you are reading this I say 'I will miss you'.
