Holi, annoying people,my views
I am so tired with people saying me things such as,'Why don't you go and read at home, since your exam is approaching?'O,yes people can be that annoying in a 'democratic' country. Some people suggest me the one notable word,'ignore'.No I cannot. My exams,my business and as long as I know that I can accomplish what I want to,even without scoring extremely good marks or by topping the class,I am more than fine with it.And I am happy that my parents too, share my views. That day I was telling one of my classmates over the phone, that someday with our 'dazzling' marks, even if we get a really good job, earning something nearly one lakh in a month, would be a waste. We would then, perhaps use only fifty thousand and end up saving the rest in our banks. What use of such a life?We won't even know what will happen to that saved money,if we die suddenly.Similarly, every college gives a criteria for admission, and sometimes people who get 90% and people who get 69%,get their names enrolled in the same college,as per the criteria.Marks never define the quality of students either, because sometimes a person scoring less knows more than the topper(I can bet my life on this statement, for I have witnessed such things).I am not saying that people should stop working hard to score good, but obtaining marks should not be the only sim. When I was in class ten,and when my tuition teacher used to say the same thing,I never used to pay heed to him, because marks meant everything to me.Then I got in eighties, cried for one week and then started believing in every word of my teacher.Knowing and learning is more important than scoring, and I am sure if i or anyone endeavours to work hard towards gaining knowledge, things are bound to settle in their places. One may not earn one lakh in a month, but will be a happy man.So i don't want to hear it from anyone as to what i am supposed to do.Yes,i am well aware of my approaching exams and yes my goal is not to burden myself with getting extraordinary marks.I know that the worst that can happen,is people laughing behind you, talking about your results, which is lame. With different career aims, the approach towards marks will also be different and people blessed with common sense, will play Holi on the day of Holi, instead of sitting inside the home and working religiously on painstaking notes(Not for people who are allergic to colors). So happy holi and if possible, try to color your lives outside the margins and stop poking your nose, where it is not required.
