Insecurities
Yet another blog post after a long time. Hope my readers are doing well. I am always so full with work that when I get any free time, I spend it talking with my mom or just sleeping. Week days are all about preparations, deadlines and carrying out responsibilities. There is never an end to work. If one is efficient, work never piles up. But it does not end either. So what is today's post about? Insecurity. Where does it come from and how to get rid of it?
Insecurities are of the more common humanly attributes. And whether we accept it or not, we are all insecure with something or someone. What does the word really mean? It means that one is not confident enough to find that place of comfort in oneself such that it leads to and creates anxiety. And when does it happen? When we compare and see the better picture in front of us and often ponder why it's not meant for us? It can be related to a thing, person or an event. Say you see someone owning something that you long desire but don't have. Can be a car or a lover or maybe good marks. Such things lead to comparison, the base of all insecurities. Now the question is, is it normal to feel insecure? Absolutely. Is it good? Well if it motivates one to improve and strive towards one's goal. It is bad when it leads to negative and depressing thoughts. Thoughts that lead to demotivation.
Now. What can we do about it? Simply not think about it much. Say you see something that makes you feel insecure, the one thing that you got to do is deviate and distract yourself by instantly channelizing your energy towards something better. Also, we all lead different paths and we all have a different purpose. So somebody's highest goal may not even exist in the list of someone else's goals. Not just that. Time. Experiences. Opportunities. Exposure. It varies for all. And the thinking minds will accept it with a smile. Why fret about something that's beyond one's control? And if there is a little scope where one can make that positive changes for oneself in whatever way possible, it's better to do that. And sometimes even set a new target that would be more feasibe in the long run.
So if my students are reading this, I would like to say that forget the rest and mind your own business. People will try to pull you down. And sometimes you might end up doing that to yourself if you are not careful enough. It's okay if you aren't scoring like your topper friend. You may still score well in life with double the challenges. It's okay if you are not like your cousin who works abroad. You can still make a happy living being where you are and change the life of so many. It's okay to not be able to keep up with the rush and speed. You may still win and be at peace with your pace. It's okay to not be a part of the cool gang. Because who knows you might end up being the leader of a cooler gang Or find peace in nature. Just be grateful with what you have and do not think of what "they"have. If you believe me, I would say that leave everything in the hands of the universe because you are a part of the bigger plan and the universe will always give you what's best for you. Having said so, it doesn't mean I am in anyway trying to tell you to stop working hard, or to not pay heed to any criticism that might be beneficial and constructive or to just let it be in places where you should not, at all.
How will you know ?
GUT. INTUITION. FAITH.
