Well the news of the Nepal earthquake which took place on 25th of April,Saturday is all over the internet now and probably i am the last person on earth to write about this quake on my blog.I don't think so i need to give the stats of how many people died or what was the earthquake measure cause by now i feel evryone knows about it.I just want to share my own experience.The quake which shook nepal also shook India especially the northern and eastern part of India and living in Durgapur,a small place in West Bengal near Kolkata,i had one of the most eerie experiences of my life.The night before 25th i could not sleep and i went to sleep at around 6A.M on the morning of 25th due to which i could not wake up early that morning.Till mid-day i was sleeping and i saw a dream which was again eerie.I saw in my dream that it was raining heavily and i was on the roof of our house when suddenly i saw i big anaconda with its two babies on our apollo avenue street[which is just infront of our house] from our roof and i made a rush towards the back side of our house when i saw two green snakes on the branches of our mango tree and suddenly in my dream i could feel the ground beneath me was shaking and the leaves of the tree made some rattling noise.Yes rattling because this made me wake up from my sleep and instead i saw the two almirahs of our house making that sound.For a moment i did not really understand what was happening but then i realized and rushed myself downstairs screaming because i was so terrified and i could feel the railings vibrating hard but it stopped as soon as i was downstairs but after a few minutes there followed an aftershock which was of less magnitude than the first one which i could make out by looking at the fan moving on top of my haed.This time it just shook a little.And the whole day went away with our offering prayers for everyones safety.The next day at about the same time another quake rather aftershock took place,but again this was of a lesser magnitude.Now i was again so terrified[more terrifid than the first time cause of the reappeareance of the quake] that i decided to make ice-cream for my family.Many may find humour in it but i was just trying to occupy my mind.Well i also engaged myself working on a saree that day,and when i was done with that as well i started working on a short script and later on clicking pictures of a vacuum cleaner to post its ad on some quick-sell site.I am usually not this active and i realized i can work more under pressure but that does not obviously mean i want more of such experiences.I sincerely pray for the quake effected people and hope everything remains settled and fine.

Who says English is easy?

Who says English is easy?I honestly did not know how to pronounce Freud-it was confusing,until one day one of my schoolmates corrected me,indirectly and since then I know that I need to pronounce it as FROYED and not FREEEEEUD.Lets take an easy example-COW;a person not knowing the English alphabets may pronounce it as CO,because the W in itself is a two syllabic word(if we consider it's spelling),so people can be mistaken and they can pronounce it as Co and then W but it's real pronunciation is CAUU.Another simple example can be the word MORE.Judged from the spelling,it should sound as MOR-E,with a clear emphasis on E,but in English we don't do that because the E becomes silent.The same goes for the word LATE because we don't pronounce it as LATE-E.Confusion persists in the pronounciation of A as well.It becomes difficult for us to contemplate if we should pronounce A as we normally do,when we follow the English alphabetical chart or should we pronounce it as Aaaaa.So w...

Ten years since 2013. The year when I stepped into my college. A new world, a new culture and a completely new environment with new faces. College felt numb and so did my P. G. Always thought of holidays, felt happier when got them. Three months at a stretch sometimes. Holidays always meant an escape to my hometown, to my family. Now it's my mother and me and the idea of hometown does not excite me anymore. It's just a place where I survive and try to thrive. There is no escape even when there are plenty of options.
